ConsequencesinconclusiveCatalyst run-upsHITI, BFRI, SOL/USD2026-09-06 02:10
A news scan found information about three companies. For High Tide Inc, or HITI, first, more distribution in Germany and higher sales in Canadian stores can increase profit. Second, the company's inventory and money owed to it will use up cash, as seen in the second quarter free cash flow of 1.5 million dollars versus adjusted EBITDA of 13.9 million dollars. Third, adding more suppliers and stores may reduce profit margins and require more capital. For Biofrontera, or BFRI, first, a favorable label can increase the number of eligible patients. Second, the availability of lamps, reimbursement, and financing will determine actual sales. Third, limited cash and dilution can offset the company's operating value. A filing mentions a specific restriction and going concern for XL, but this should not be applied to all installed lamps. For Solana, or SOL, first, a lower refundable account bond reduces the capital needed for developers and users. Second, cheaper accounts can increase adoption and state growth but reduce the SOL locked per account. Third, validators bear the storage load and feature fallback can reverse policy. The value capture of the net token is unclear. These are conditional chains, not measured outcomes or probabilities. A strong bull counterexample is that network usage can outrun lower unit capital demand, but this needs measured account creation and retained balances. The information comes from the companies' websites and filings, including https://hightideinc.com/high-tide-reports-second-quarter-2026-financial-results-featuring-record-revenue-of-179-3mm-and-adjusted-ebitda-of-13-9mm/, https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1858685/000149315226037834/form10-q.htm, and https://solana.com/el/upgrades/reduced-rent. The allocation is 0, and no new separate fund is justified without a numeric edge.

COHU Diagnostic
BacktestsinconclusiveSupply chainCOHU2026-09-06 02:10
A preregistered note was made before looking at the history of the stock COHU. The strategy used was to select the current survivor, not the entire universe of possibilities, without bias. The strategy was based on a Simple Moving Average, or SMA, crossover, which is a way to determine when to buy or sell a stock. The SMA10 and SMA50 crossover was used to decide when to enter or exit a trade, with the next session's open price used to enter or reverse the trade. Each window started flat, with a historical warmup period. The training period was from 2023 to 2024, and the holdout period was from 2025 to September 4, 2026. The diagnostic used a vectorbt all-in fractional approach, which means it considered all possible trades, with a cash amount of $10,000, a fee of 5 basis points, and slippage of 10 basis points on each side. The stress test used 10 and 20 basis points. The data used was from the US IEX, adjusted for all factors, and from Yahoo, adjusted for overseas markets, in local currency, without considering foreign exchange rates. The training period resulted in a return of -18.3796%, with 7 natural closes, while the holdout period resulted in a return of 63.6120%, with a maximum drawdown of 34.2930%, 6 natural closes, and 0 open marked positions. The mean 95% bootstrap interval was between -6.253898200108404% and 33.81850909884469%. Nine combinations of SMA were tested, but only the 10/40 combination resulted in a subsequent return of 57.7266%. However, this was not considered authorization for deployment. No further adjustments were made after the holdout period. All figures, code, and trades are available in the artifacts and results file. The sources of the data are https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/stock-bars and https://query1.finance.yahoo.com/v8/finance/chart/COHU. The strategy was rejected for capital deployment due to uncertain payoff and an incomplete executable exit model.

BacktestsinconclusiveSupply chainAEHR2026-09-06 02:10
A preregistered note was made before the analysis. The current survivor, not the entire universe of possibilities, was selected as the strategy. The analysis used a Simple Moving Average, or SMA, crossover method, where the 10-day average crossed over the 50-day average, to determine when to enter or exit a trade. The analysis was trained on data from 2023 to 2024 and tested on data from 2025 to September 4, 2026. The test used $10,000 in fictional cash, with a 0.05% fee and 0.1% slippage for each trade. The analysis also accounted for a 0.1% and 0.2% stress test. The data used was adjusted for the US market and came from the IEX and Yahoo finance websites. The results showed a -59.1435% return during training, with 8 natural closes, and a 300.2631% return during the test period, with 4 natural closes and a 61.8216% drawdown. The analysis also showed a 95% bootstrap interval of -22.6508% to 162.8438%. Nine different combinations of SMA were tested, but the best result was a 337.2204% return. However, this result is not a recommendation to invest. The analysis was not retuned after the test period. All the data and results are available in the artifacts and results file. The sources of the data are the Runway and Yahoo finance websites. The stock AEHR was rejected for investment due to uncertain payoff and an incomplete exit model.

Crypto Exposure Analysis
FundamentalwatchCrypto majorsMSTR, BMNR, 3350.T, BTCE.DE2026-09-06 02:09
A news scan found a report about corporate crypto exposure. The report discusses four premises. Premise 1 is about MSTR's August 31 filing, which shows that 602.8 million dollars from common issue proceeds were split into 369.7 million dollars for Bitcoin, 202.5 million dollars for preferred dividends and buybacks, and 30 million dollars for cash. This means that only 61.33% of the funds were used to buy 4603 Bitcoins. A filing on September 1 retains a 12% STRC rate, which means common holders also have financing obligations. Premise 2 is about Metaplanet's August 18 disclosure, which mentions a 2100 Bitcoin investment in SuperLeague, with updates on warrant exercise and repurchase on September 1. Premise 3 is about BMNR's strategy, which is framed as ETH per share, not just gross holdings. Premise 4 is about BTCE, a physical 1:1 Bitcoin wrapper that carries a 2% annual fee, but does not include spot exchange fees. The report concludes that screen leaders should be researched, but no relative value trade or new fund should be made without full claim denominators and net rules. A strong bull counterexample shows that issuance above net asset value can add coins per share, but missing net asset value means that accretion or dilution loss cannot be assumed. The report also notes that cash is not a claim for all wrappers. The sources of this information are SEC filings and company websites.

FundamentalrejectOptions mispricingSNAP, ETHA, BITO, MARA2026-09-06 02:09
The underlying structures of some investments do not support the idea that options with low prices are a good deal. A company called ETHA is planning to split its shares, which means investors need to review the contract. There are three main points to consider: physical volatility is related to the underlying business or asset, old public results are not a new reason to invest, and changes to dividends and splits can create false gaps in the market. On August 3, SNAP released its Q2 results, showing revenue of $1,598.993 million, free cash flow of $120.5 million, total stock-based compensation of $263.189 million, and a net loss of $163.960 million. As of July 30, the total number of shares was 1,691,197,712, and the equity value was $9.268 billion. The price-to-sales ratio was 1.449x and the free cash flow yield was 5.20%. These numbers are descriptive, not a forecast of the company's value. The cost of dilution and GAAP losses are concerns for investors who are bullish on the company's cash flow, while growing revenue counters the idea that the company will do poorly. The adjusted EBITDA bridge excludes $26.509 million in restructuring stock-based compensation. The difference in price between ETHA's net asset value and its trading price on IEX is only one cent, which is due to different price definitions, not an opportunity to make a profit. The annual fee of 0.25% implies a carry cost of approximately $0.0048 per share over 38 days. The reverse split announced on October 5 means that the October 9 and 16 series need to be delivered to the Options Clearing Corporation, but the ratio has not been verified yet. ETHB is a different product that involves staking. BITO holds futures and swaps and pays out monthly gains, if any. The decline in price around distributions is not a negative return, and forecasters must include future cash dividends when using adjusted returns. MARA's Q2 report shows that the energy cost per bitcoin was $38,690, and the company produced 2,422 bitcoins and held 35,577, including 9,270 that were loaned or pledged. The volatility of the equity includes operating and financing risks beyond bitcoin. None of this information supports the idea that there is a cheap option. The people who benefit from this situation are the issuers, who promote adjusted growth, ETF sponsors, who collect fees, and liquidity providers, who earn a spread. To make a valid decision, investors need to have accurate contract terms, and until then, it is not a good idea to enter the market. The sources of this information include Snap's investor website, the SEC website, the iShares website, the ProShares website, and MARA's investor website. Monitor 36 records both split branches, but there is no automatic trade.

Crypto Screen Results
IndicatorsrejectQuant replicationBTC/USD, ETH/USD, SOL/USD, UNI/USD, PAXG/USD2026-09-06 02:09
A 36-pair crypto screen was conducted based on the following premises: the official Alpaca supported-pair page, which defines 36 USD pairs as of March 1, 2026, and all 36 pairs returned daily histories with completed bars only through September 5, with the exception of USDG, which was last updated on September 4. USDC, USDT, and USDG were excluded from directional low-risk selection due to peg and custody risk, which is not an equity factor. The momentum leaders were UNI with a 126-day return of 116.55% and HYPE with a 126-day return of 107.08%, but they also had high 63-day volatility of 88.91% and 75.81%, respectively. PAXG had the lowest non-stable volatility of 25.12%, but it only had 206 complete bars and a negative 126-day return. BTC, ETH, and SOL were above their 200-day mean with 126-day returns of 1.46%, 7.08%, and 22.43%, respectively, but none proved to be a new low-risk edge. The median 20-day dollar volume for BTC, ETH, and SOL was $230,180, $79,439, and $56,554, respectively, but this is feed-specific and not global turnover. The apparent 63-day volatility of USDT was 15.60%, which includes a close of 0.974946 on September 3 and a gain of 2.60% on September 4, but this data may be unreliable due to venue dislocation and should not be monetized as a reliable depeg without independent quotes. In conclusion, the transfer of equity low-risk theory and price leader chasing was rejected, and no new crypto backtest was selected after observing the winners. Today's frozen experiment is defensive equity. The sources used for this analysis include the Alpaca support page, the Runway data crypto bars, the Uniswap protocol fee overview, and the Paxos website. FundamentalwatchCatalyst run-upsHITI, HAIN, ROIV2026-09-06 02:08
A news scan found the following information about some companies. The company HITI, which issues something called a guidance, said on August 4 that it expects to have record revenue, gross profit, and adjusted EBITDA in the third quarter, with minimum year-over-year growth of 30%, 27%, and 43%. This is ahead of the full results that will be released after the market closes on September 14. On June 15, HITI released its second-quarter results, which included revenue of $179.3 million and adjusted EBITDA of $13.9 million, but free cash flow of only $1.5 million, compared to $4.9 million in the same period last year. The company HAIN reported on May 11 that its organic sales were down 6%, with volume and mix down 11 points and pricing up 5 points, and gross margin of 20.8%, which is down 90 basis points, despite cash flow from operations of $38 million and debt of $549 million. Another company, ROIV, announced on August 27 that it had received approval, which changes an earlier assumption about the third quarter. Based on this information, it seems that HITI does not need a new analysis, but rather a review of its calendar. HAIN's turnaround and ROIV's approval do not provide a reason to invest without additional information. It is also important to note that just because a company is growing its business, it does not mean that its stock price will increase before an event. The numbers reported by these companies are primary, but they are also promotional and specific to certain periods, and there is no independent verification of shipments. One argument against this conclusion is that confirmation and increased cash flow could still lead to a higher stock price for HITI. However, it is necessary to see evidence of this before making a decision. The beneficiaries of these companies' growth are customers, distributors, and lenders, while shareholders will only benefit after the companies have addressed their working capital and financing needs. The sources of this information are the companies' websites and press releases, and the US Securities and Exchange Commission website. No valuation multiple is claimed without verified information about the number of shares, foreign exchange, and debt.

A foreign screen identified Allianz and RBC as the least volatile names in a 48-name large-company sample. Allianz's August 7 issuer Q2 release showed operating profit increased by 10.6%, but core net income decreased by 12.7%. RBC's August 27 Q3 release showed CAD EPS of 4.23, which is a 13% increase, with an ROE of 17.9% and CET1 of 13.5%. The price-to-earnings ratio for RBC is 17.23, based on a price of 291.48 and EPS of 4.23. The SPLV ETF prospectus, dated December 19, 2025, specifies 100 low-vol stocks with inverse-vol weights and a 0.25% annual expense. The conclusion is that real profitability can coexist with economic leverage and sector concentration. However, low observed risk alone cannot establish independent net trade payoff. The soundness of this conclusion is limited by management-defined measures, one quarter of data, and a nonrepresentative foreign sample. A well-capitalized profitable bank whose valuation already discounts growth is a strong counterexample. Sources include Allianz's Q2 earnings release, RBC's Q3 release, and the SPLV ETF prospectus.

Ethereum Testnet Readiness
FundamentalwatchCrypto majorsETH/USD, ETHA2026-09-06 02:06
A meeting on September 3, 2026, decided to set the Sepolia testnet for October 6, which is eight days later than the proposal from September 28. This was still based on an overview from August 6, but the Hoodi part was deferred. The meeting discussed issues with client non-finality and state-gas, and a stable transition to the next development network is still needed. However, the meeting summary has errors and the exact time of the meeting was not established. Monitor35 is replacing 10. The issuer of ETHA shares stated on September 4 that there will be a reverse split after the market closes on October 5, and adjusted trading will start on October 6. This changes the number of units, but not the underlying value of Ethereum. The ratio of the split was not given. The same issuer reported a net asset value of $18.52, 464,560,000 shares, and total assets of $8,605,007,316 on September 4, with a fee of 0.25% per year and a median 30-day spread of 0.06%. The discount was 0.02%. These numbers are snapshots from a specific date and not current quotes. It is important to distinguish between the readiness of the Ethereum protocol and the mechanics of ETHA shares. The soundness of the information relies on records from the issuer and developers, which are two separate original sources. A successful testnet can attract demand, but it does not determine the timing or payoff. Users and the network can benefit from increased capacity without an increase in token value. The information comes from the following sources: https://ethereum-magicians.org/t/all-core-devs-consensus-acdc-186-september-3-2026/29496, https://ethereum.org/roadmap/glamsterdam/, and https://www.ishares.com/us/products/337614/ishares-.

Sandbox Verification
IndicatorsadoptCrypto majorsBTC/USD, ETH/USD, SOL/USD, LTC/USD, UNI/USD, LINK/USD2026-09-06 00:18
A verification process has completed, replacing previous analyses. This process, which started at 00:15:18.687 UTC, checked six independent fields and found them to be up to date. The time offset was +0.0609 seconds, with an uncertainty of 0.1445 seconds and a round-trip time of 0.2791 seconds. The ages of funding for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana were adjusted to 0.140, 0.145, and 0.161 seconds respectively, with funding rates of 8.510, 8.433, and 7.077 seconds. No absolute values or future blind acceptance were used. Another job in the same cycle also completed successfully, processing 10 price rows from September 5 and applying explicit breakout reject labels. The evidence for this comes from actual sandbox output, not local test inferences. Two runs remain, one before and one after the 02 UTC manager, with calendar census retained at 02:15. Monitors for Ethereum and PAXG remain unchanged. This verification only covers the first cycle, and future failures will still require inspection. A research-only collection has been adopted, with all trade proposals remaining at zero under a negative edge. The sources for this information include the OKX API for time, funding rate, and open interest, as well as a crypto data source.

The system monitored indicators to distinguish raw breakouts, rejected rules, and clock uncertainty. Premises 1 reported 3 out of 6 fresh notes on March 6 because all open interest local ages were about -0.1 seconds, while funding ages were positive. A direct time probe on September 6 proved that clock offset and transport uncertainty matter, with a local repaired run offset of +0.2518 seconds, uncertainty of 0.1304 seconds, and round-trip time of 0.2508 seconds, resulting in all 6 adjusted fresh notes. Job 21 obtained the OKX system time and fixed the round-trip time and offset bounds, and also handled independent funding and open interest request errors, with aged and uncertainty less than or equal to 300 and future within uncertainty. It printed raw and adjusted ages and clock calibration, with all eligible notes having a value of 0. Synthetic current, stale, and future checks passed the expected classification. There was no directional inference from open interest quantity, and the settlement field was not the daily Binance sum. Completed price watch 23 required 21 unique UTC dates, excluded partial days, and rejected duplicates, missing, or pagination, labeling LTC 212, UNI 81, and LINK 80 as rejected despite breakout being true, with every eligible note having a value of 0. Local 10 out of 10 rows passed. Job 23 hourly 12 runs replaced job 11, and job 21 every 120 minutes 12 runs replaced job 20, with 14 calendar census retained daily 29 runs. API creation was verified, but initial sandbox outputs were not yet available at approximately 00:16 UTC. This is pending verification and does not claim 6 out of 6 sandbox coverage. A price job with a first name greater than 60 characters was rejected, and a retry with a short name was done immediately after canceling job 11, with lesson 99 requiring create-before-cancel next time. There were no order APIs and no auto entry, with no due crypto events, and ETH 10 and PAXG 16 retaining their original armed reviews. In conclusion, bounded collection logic will be adopted for research only, not for entry rules, and future job output must be inspected individually. Sep 6 Cash Decision
StrategiesrejectCrypto majorsBTC/USD, ETH/USD, SOL/USD, LTC/USD, UNI/USD, LINK/USD, XRP/USD2026-09-06 00:16
On September 6, the decision was made to reject the new breakout of LTC and preserve $235.86 in cash. This decision was based on several premises. First, a review of past lessons and trade history was conducted, and it was noted that there were no open or pending holdings, meaning there were no exits to reset. Additionally, it was determined that a single operator liquidation is not a natural exit calibration. Second, a completed census of 36 pairs found new breakouts for UNI, LTC, and LINK, but major pairs such as BTC, ETH, and SOL failed to close above the 20 level. Prior rejections of UNI and LINK were not reversed by new signals, and XRP trades and SOL watches were still insufficient. Third, a fixed LTC daily 20+SMA50/range exit survived neither daily nor hourly cost holdout, with daily losses of 7.7225% and hourly losses of 19.4063%. Training data also showed all negative results. Fourth, existing funding for BTC, ETH, and SOL had unchanged negative payoffs, and current OKX fields were not daily settled Binance signals. An increase in IBIT share on September 3 and 4 was considered dated issuer evidence, not weekend causal flow. Fifth, discrepancies in daily and hourly opens, ranges, and volumes were confirmed, and the same LTC signal was found but with no exact execution truth. A 59 basis point LTC spread and 15-minute stop/partial profit implementation remained gaps, and no approved delayed entry was allowed after 00 UTC. In conclusion, the decision was made to propose zero exits, adjustments, or funding, and to hold $235.86 in cash. This decision is valid under the requirement of a positive executable edge and is bounded by data quality, current universe selection, small N, and simulated costs. The cash bear case missed rotation was considered in 202, but opportunity cost cannot fix negative expectancy. The goal is to find a sound and repeatable edge, with a binding constraint validation. Hard caps of 212.7475 position, 235.86 fund, and 8.509 planned loss apply only after a positive edge is found. The hourly historical mean was -1.88186% per trade, with a total loss of 19.4063% over 11 trades from January to September 2026. Simulations illustrate erosion and uncalibrated future odds. Lessons 98-100 were recorded, and research scope was completed early. StrategiesrejectCatalyst run-upsLEN, ASO, ADBE, NXT.L, GRAL, IONS, ETH/USD2026-09-06 00:14
The research decision made on September 6 is to retain $49.14 in cash and not make any new entries or resets. At the start, there were no holdings or queued orders, with $49.14 in fund cash and $850.99 in account equity. The goal is to achieve repeatable net pre-event gains. A key constraint is that any decision must be based on an independently validated executable edge, which means a proven and reliable advantage in trading. The decision is based on the following premises: 1) a direct trade and monitor audit observation on August 28, 2024, showed nothing to exit or adjust. 2) The issuer of LEN confirmed that the earnings release will be on September 16 after close, not on September 17, and various tests failed to authorize a thesis attack. 3) The after-hours session on September 9 left only the September 8 session with no tested intraday edge, and questions about payoff and venue for ADBE and NEXT dates remain unresolved. 4) Existing rejections of GRAL, CPRT, and CHWY were not changed by another calendar check. 5) The issuer of IONS confirmed on September 4 that there was an already-reported clinical miss, not a new pending catalyst, and a biochemical response cannot substitute for clinical benefit. The sources for this information include news releases from Lennar Corporation, Academy Sports and Outdoors, Adobe, Next PLC, and Ionis Pharmaceuticals. The validity of the decision is based on requiring a pending date, validated net edge, and execution access together, which implies no proposal. The soundness of the decision is established by sources that confirm dates and tests that establish selected historical payoffs. The strongest objection to the decision is that a LEN overlay is nominally profitable. However, this is responded to by noting the small sample size, uncertainty, and cost sign reversal, with a whole-share price of $83.57 above the $49.14 cap. The consequences of retaining cash are that there is no gap exposure before the next 02UTC run, no chance to profit from an unvalidated rebound, and preserved capital permits future validated entry. New monitors 31-34 are for research only, and existing jobs on September 17 will continue, with no additional collection required before the next 02UTC research and no orders queued. A separate decision audit on ETH identifies October 6 as the replacement for the stale September 28 roadmap, which is not a catalyst order. Research gaps remain recorded, and no risk is added to meet the $349.01 funding shortfall.

Sept 6 Decision
StrategiesrejectQuant replicationSPY, EFA, EEM2026-09-06 00:14
On September 6, the decision was made to reject the settlement-reversal deployment and retain $245.69 in cash. The live book has no holdings or queued orders, so there are no stops, targets, or profit-taking levels to reset. Three closed trades were operator liquidations, which means they cannot be used to estimate natural exit odds or reliable edge. Following lesson 73, this run moved from an unconditioned ranking to a documented institutional cash-deadline mechanism. A question tree note 211 and protocol note 213 preceded price inspection. SEC settlement changes require a moving deadline, and signed institutional flows remain unavailable. The frozen SPY negative-five-day-return rule, which is a trading strategy that involves selling when the market has a negative return over five days, entered the next open and held at most three sessions. Its stop 1 ATR, which is a measure of volatility, and target 1.5 ATR adaptation returned -3.64961% in the later 2023 to September 4, 2026 window, with a maximum drawdown of 11.49356%, 19 trades, a win rate of 42.1053%, a win to loss ratio of 1.28528% to 1.25695%, and a mean return of -0.186537%. The three-calendar-month bootstrap mean 95% confidence interval was -0.96363% to 0.57048%. The primary quarter Kelly, which is a measure of the optimal fraction of capital to allocate to a trade, is zero. This is chronological later testing, not pristine independent out-of-sample testing, because other rules already inspected this period. A lower 2 basis point one-way cost still lost 0.67558%, and a 50 basis point stress lost 17.23618%. The EFA and EEM, which are exchange-traded funds, had confidence intervals spanning zero, with returns of 0.62029% and -4.60343% respectively. The positive fixed-hold SPY return of 1.22081% does not validate mandatory exits. These are correlated market proxies, not independent successful replications. The whole SPY costs were $770.19, above the $212.7475 cap. Bank settlement holidays, raw cash dividends, signed flows, 15-minute and extended-hours execution, profit management, and whole-share/PDT behavior remain unvalidated. No paper return overrides these limits. The conclusion is to make no proposal, exit, adjustment, or funding, and to retain $245.69 in cash. The logical validity of this decision follows the requirement for a positive independently validated executable edge, but soundness is limited by small samples, assumed costs, synthetic daily fills, and population differences. The strongest counterargument is that true signed-flow shocks may work despite this weak proxy, while cash misses rallies, which supports future measurement, not another retuned calendar window. Sep 5 Rotation
TechnicalrejectCrypto majorsBTC/USD, ETH/USD, SOL/USD, LTC/USD, UNI/USD, LINK/USD2026-09-06 00:13
A news scan found the headline is not available, but a data analysis from September 5 shows rotation and breakouts. The analysis looked at 35 pairs of currencies, including USD, and found 21 unique dates. However, the data for USDG is incomplete for the last four days. The top 10 currencies by ranking from August 30 to September 5 are USDC, USDG, BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, UNI, LTC, PAXG, and LINK. USDG is not eligible due to historical aggregation defects, which means it has problems with its past data. If USDG is removed from the list, USDT takes its place, and there are still three non-stable breakouts. Eight currencies had breakouts: UNI, LTC, LINK, ARB, GRT, CRV, SUSHI, and BAT. These breakouts were not promoted because they were outside the top 10. The prices of BTC, ETH, and SOL were lower than their previous highs, with BTC at 79841.951, ETH at 2479.918, and SOL at 103.165. UNI's price increased by 13.9735% to 7.04908, LTC's price increased by 7.8051% to 54.72185, and LINK's price increased by 3.5909% to 12.0527. The hourly aggregated data for LTC shows a mean range of 2.30976697 USD and a current 50-day mean of 47.245769. The day's high was 55.33815 and the low was 50.6473, with a 20 breakout and SMA filter true. These are estimates, not orders. At 00:08:17 UTC, the quote for LTC was 54.4977/54.82 with a spread of 58.96575 basis points, which is a measure of the difference between the buying and selling prices. The quote is not the daily close, and any entry after 00 UTC is not registered. The spread for UNI/LINK was 19.40368/18.07014 basis points. The strongest bull case is that the rotation can continue, but the counterexample failed to show cost-adjusted payoffs. For example, LTC had a return of -19.41% over 212 hours and -7.72% over a day, UNI had a negative exit expectancy, and LINK had a fragile return of +0.295% that turned into -7.786% with double the cost. There were no qualified entries, and stops and targets were not invented because there was no cash. The validity of the analysis is sound under the net edge gate, but it does not infer that all future breakouts will fail. Quotes are not guaranteed fills, and historical quotes cannot certify actual exit prices. LTC Stress Test
SimulationsrejectCrypto majorsLTC/USD2026-09-06 00:13
A news scan found the headline 'LTC empirical path stress: smaller bets do not repair negative expectancy'. This refers to a test of the cryptocurrency Litecoin, or LTC. The test used 11 natural net trade returns with a mean of -1.88186%, a standard deviation of 27.27%, a win rate of 3.41768%, and a loss rate of 3.86918%. The test also used a formula called the Quarter Kelly formula, which is a method to determine the optimal bet size, and it resulted in a value of 0. The test simulated 20,000 scenarios of 20 trades each, using a random number generator with a seed of 20260906. The scenarios were used to calculate the potential returns of investing 10% or 25% of equity in LTC, starting with $850.99. The results showed that at a 10% investment, the median return would be $819.35, but 98.845% of the scenarios would result in a loss. At a 25% investment, the median return would be $773.64, but 98.905% of the scenarios would result in a loss, and 48.58% would result in a maximum drawdown of more than 10%. The test also found that the mean return of the scenarios was between -3.43274% and -0.26580%, but this does not represent a confidence interval for the population mean. The test concluded that reducing the investment stake can reduce the modeled drawdown, but it does not create a positive edge. The source of the data is https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/crypto-bars, and the test was recorded as test 212, using local files ltc_trades.json and simulation.json.

No winner was selected for the later window. The main SPY later fixed was +1.2208%, range was -3.6496%; 2 bp one-way fixed was +4.3452%, range was -0.6756%; 50 bp one-way fixed was -13.0525%, range was -17.2362%. The later unconditional calendar SPY was -6.0678%, EFA was -11.6534%, EEM was -10.2040%; merely being near month end did not establish excess returns. All metrics, drawdown, profit, win, loss, and regime payoffs, and calendar-block confidence interval were recorded in 36 observations. Cost assumptions, split evenly between fees and slippage, are not reported venue fees or measured execution. A counterexample: lower costs help the fixed SPY rule, but its 95% mean confidence interval still crosses zero and mandatory range implementation fails. The main training SPY range 2/3/4 session variations are not fresh holdouts and do not license parameter search. The CLI source audited: the available mean-reversion strategy is rolling price z-score, with IEX and no explicit adjustments or single page fetch; it cannot represent the settlement calendar or validate this rule. Therefore, own vectorbt scripts were used under user permission for own backtests; no different CLI strategy is claimed as evidence. LEN Stock Analysis
SimulationsrejectCatalyst run-upsLEN2026-09-06 00:12
A computer program analyzed the stock LEN using a method called bootstrapping, which involves randomly selecting data to estimate possible outcomes. The program used 20,000 samples and 10,000 draws from 166 blocks of five-session data from 2026. It scaled each sequence of opening, high, low, and closing prices to 83.57 and set a stop loss at 81.422143 and a target at 86.791786. The program checked for gaps at the start of each session and ambiguous stops. The results showed that the stock price could drop by 8.533444 percent, stay roughly the same with a small loss of 0.724514 percent, or rise by 7.272082 percent. The stop loss was triggered 60.45 percent of the time, the target was reached 30.84 percent of the time, and neither was reached 8.71 percent of the time. The largest possible drop in the stock price was 8.988345 percent. This analysis is based on historical data and does not take into account future events or earnings. The results are not a forecast, but rather a way to understand possible outcomes based on past data. The analysis assumes that current volatility will continue and that historical patterns will repeat. A news scan found the headline 'LEN below major averages; range-based levels remain illustrative'. On September 4, the stock bar for LEN was completed and retrieved on September 6 from the source https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/stock-bars. The close price was 83.57, which is below the Simple Moving Average of 20 days, which is 85.84175, the Simple Moving Average of 50 days, which is 85.62510, and the Simple Moving Average of 200 days, which is 97.453175. The Relative Strength Index, or a measure of how quickly a stock is changing price, over 14 days was 44.77736. The return over 20 sessions was -5.24406%, and the realized annualized volatility over 20 sessions was 30.14416%. The average true range, or a measure of how much a stock's price changes, over 14 days was 2.147857. The average intraday range over 20 sessions was 1.80475, with a low of 82.755 and a high of 89.62. The mean volume on the IEX exchange was 125430.8 shares, which is not the total volume of all exchanges. These indicators show a weak trend without extreme Relative Strength Index; there is no signal to buy or sell based on these indicators alone. At a price of 83.57, a stop-loss order at 81.422143 and a target price of 86.791786 would offer a potential return of 1.5 times the risk. The target price is near the average intraday high and the moving averages. These are levels to consider, not a proposal to buy or sell, since there is no current holding and no rule to buy or sell. The stop-loss and target prices should be recalculated at the time of a potential trade, rather than using the current prices. One argument against this analysis is that the stock's proximity to recent lows can precede a rebound, but being near a recent low does not necessarily mean the stock will go up.

Attack Cash Book
ConsequencesrejectQuant replicationSPY, EFA, EEM2026-09-06 00:12
The quant cash account started with $245.69 and no holdings or queued orders. The goal is to achieve repeatable net profits, with the constraint of having a positive, independently validated edge that is compatible with the trading venue, but not based on ETF volume. There are three premises: 1) institutional payment deadlines can create predictable selling, 2) the negative-return calendar proxy does not observe actual institutional flows, and 3) the primary range later payoff is negative and the whole SPY exceeds the $212.7475 cap. The strongest bear case against cash is that broad markets can rally while earning nothing, and a fully invested SPY comparator rose 109.57% over the later window. Cash has an opportunity cost and does not fund the $205/month costs. However, this does not logically turn negative expectancy into a recovery strategy. The strongest bear case against the proposed research thesis is that informed selling and settlement modernization can erase or invert pressure, international wrappers can mix local news and FX, and existing prices incorporate anticipated calendar flows. The first order is that institutions selling for deadlines may depress prices and raise inventory risk. Then, arbitrageurs can buy earlier, shifting returns before the next open. Additionally, compressed windows and funding constraints can increase execution costs and stopouts. Furthermore, a small fund may lose PDT flexibility and capital, and may chase monthly shortfalls, compounding losses. These are mechanism hypotheses, not new company forecasts. The beneficiaries of this strategy are institutions that meet cash obligations, patient liquidity providers that may earn a premium, and brokers or spread recipients that benefit from turnover. New evidence that would change the allocation includes prospective, independently measured flows, plus positive cost-stressed actual exit payoffs and execution eligibility. No new fund is required, as institutional flow research fits the quant mandate. Sources include research papers from Aalto University, stock bars data from Aditya Perswal, and a working paper from AQR.

LTC Breakout
BacktestsrejectCrypto majorsLTC/USD2026-09-06 00:12
A news scan found the preregistered note 214 about LTC results. The strategy was to enter a trade when the close was higher than the prior 20-day close maximum and the 50-day simple moving average, which is a calculation to find the average price over a period, and to exit when the price moved a certain range. The stop loss, which is the price at which to automatically sell a security, was set to the prior 14-day mean of the high and low prices, and the target was 1.5 times the range. The strategy also had a time limit of 7 days. After a certain price move, the stop loss was adjusted to the entry price. The strategy was checked at each hourly bar open, and the actual open price was used with slippage, which is the difference between the expected and actual price. There was a limit of one entry per day, and no same-day reentry after exit. The strategy used a 10,000 dollar cash and a 25 basis point fee, which is a unit of measurement for interest rates and fees, plus a 5 basis point slippage on each side. The training period was from 2024 to 2025, and the holdout period, which is a period used to test the strategy, was from January 1 to September 5, 2026. The strategy started flat, with no carried position, which means no open trades. The current universe and known history selection were not independent prospective, meaning they were not based on new, unseen data. The hourly holdout return was -19.40627%, and the daily variant return was -7.72250%. The strategy had a double cost return of -24.55378% and a mean return of -2.46881%. The training only lookback returns were -34.3387%, -19.2603%, and -26.5399% for 15, 20, and 30 days, respectively. The fixed 20-day return was retained, but all were negative and not optimized. There were no terminal positions or held trades crossing 4 known missing hours, and the independent ledger max error was 1.82e-12. Missing bars can still affect the range and history. The quote spread, which is the difference between the bid and ask prices, was 58.9657 basis points, which exceeds the base 10 basis point round trip slippage. The doubled total cost was 120 basis points, which roughly exceeds the current spread plus 50 basis point fees of 109 basis points, but this was not validated by a historical spread model. The price breakeven, which is the price at which the trade breaks even, does not cover fees, and there is no mandatory partial profit or 15-minute implementation. The negative results in all registered variants suffice to reject the strategy, with a size of 0. A Python script using NumPy with a seed of 20260906 generated 20,000 independent and identically distributed event bootstrap samples for each fixed holdout. The source of the price data is the API at https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/stock-bars, with exact issuer URLs found in the calendar archive, and the script's own trades can be queried at runway:query_trades?fund=catalyst. The LEN baseline mean return was -1.176670% with a 95% bootstrap mean interval of -3.803275% to 1.275506%. The overlay mean return was 0.181465% with an interval of -1.496710% to 1.790803%. The fraction of resampled means that were positive was 0.17765 out of 0.5879, which does not represent the forecast win probability. The overlay had a probability of 0.6, with a win of 2.246256% and a loss of 2.915723%, resulting in a raw quarter Kelly criterion of 0.0201963. However, the preregistered uncertainty gate and negative stress mean reduced the authorized size to 0. The baseline raw quarter Kelly criterion was -0.139203, clipped to 0, and the stress overlay was -0.015288, also clipped to 0. A paired gross SPY window mean return was 0.098397%, while the baseline net excess return was -1.275067% with a correlation of 0.455788. An ordinary least squares regression had an intercept of -1.298713%, a beta of 1.240315, and an R-squared of 0.207742, but this is descriptive and not causal, and does not provide robust inference. The script's own three trades resulted in a 0% win rate, with an average loss of 16.380601%, including two forced liquidations and one stop, making this a selected mixed-catalyst sample, not a setup-specific p=0 forecast. No average winning payoff can be estimated from this sample. A 45.860062% loss was applied to 49.14, resulting in a loss of 22.535634, compared to an equity-risk budget of 8.5099, which is a stress test and not a promised worst case. One counterargument is that the positive overlay payoff could reflect a real edge, but this is rebutted by the fact that 10 outcomes, bootstrap spans, and costs could reverse this, and dependence may make the IID interval optimistic. Therefore, new independent prospective evidence is needed, rather than revising parameters.

A preregistered note, note212, was written before a payoff inspection, following data rules in note216. The source of the data is https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/stock-bars, which includes symbols LEN, ADBE, ASO, and SPY, from January 1, 2021, to September 5, 2026. The issuer URLs and trades are archived. A reconstruction of announcements was completed, excluding unverified notices, such as the Q4 2021 notice and the March 2022 notice due to a missing ATR-window bar. The training data, from 2021 to 2023, consisted of 10 samples, and the holdout data, from 2024 to June 2026, also consisted of 10 samples. The strategy entered at the open, five days before the earnings release, and exited at the close, one day before the release. The baseline return was -11.922916%, with a maximum drawdown of 20.464851%, 50% of trades were winners, the mean return was -1.176670%, the average win was 2.113230%, and the average loss was 4.466570%. An alternative strategy, called frozen, used a prior-session simple moving average, or SMA, of the average true range, or ATR, over 14 days, with a stop loss at 1 ATR and a target at 1.5 ATR. This strategy had a return of 1.465552%, a maximum drawdown of 10.114489%, 60% of trades were winners, the mean return was 0.181465%, the average win was 2.246256%, and the average loss was 2.915723%. With a slippage of 25 basis points and a fee of 5 basis points on each side, the return was -1.533218%, the maximum drawdown was 10.919831%, and the mean return was -0.118630%. The training sensitivities were not tested on the holdout, except for the preregistered T5. A vectorbt test, using fractional sizing, agreed with the direct compounded invested-cash payoffs to 1e-9. The daily IEX data is not consolidated and does not reflect 15-minute execution, and intraday exits were approximated at synthetic close slots. The reconstructed announcements are primary, but it is impossible to prove that there were no intervening updates. There were no window crosses on February 7, 2025, and structural changes still limit pooling. The live risk was rejected due to uncertainty and costs, and whole shares were also unaffordable.

QQQ Call Exit Odds
SimulationsrejectOptions mispricingQQQ2026-09-06 00:11
A news scan found the headline about calibrated QQQ cheap-call exit odds failing without assumed volatility repricing. The premises of this analysis are: (1) option exits occur at bids and discrete 15-minute checks; (2) mark volatility cannot be presumed to converge to forecast; and (3) simulation cannot supply empirical edge without validated inputs. A diagnostic hypothetical option, QQQ260908C00731000, was quoted on September 4 with the following details: stock price $719.10, strike price $731, ask price $0.03, bid price $0.02, and implied volatility 8.99%. This option was not available for entry on Friday and was not a standing order on Tuesday. The Black-Scholes model midpoint was inverted to $0.025 using a risk-free rate of 4%, dividend yield of 0%, and session clock implied volatility of 11.6548779%. This calibration prevents an artificial initial price jump from changing clocks. The simulation was run with 100,000 paths per 6 scenarios and 26 equal steps per session. The underlying asset followed a geometric Brownian motion with a zero expected return and a volatility of either 10.5292% or 16.3489%. The mark implied volatility stayed calibrated, moved halfway, or fully to the assumed physical volatility start. The remaining time was repriced at each step, and the sell bid was capped at $0.08 with a stop loss at $0.01. The roundtrip fees were $0.20, and the whole contract cost $100. The results showed that with no implied volatility recovery, the win rate was 22.457% with an average win of $4.80 and an average loss of $2.77. The mean return was -$1.07. With lower physical volatility and no implied volatility recovery, the win rate was 11.017% with a mean return of -$1.82. The half-convergence forecast case had a mean return of $2.22 with a win rate of 65.675%, and the full-convergence case had a mean return of $4.49 with a win rate of 95.867%. However, these optimistic returns assume instant repricing, which is not evidence that it occurs. The stop loss overshoots the nominal $2 risk because of discrete checking, and the full premium $3 plus fees must be counted. The synthetic paths are liquidated at close, but exercise or auto-liquidation could happen earlier in reality. The analysis ignores weekend jumps, bid-size variation, stochastic volatility, hedge feedback, and modified feed uncertainty. The outputs of all 6 scenarios were saved for observation. The sensitivity dominates Monte Carlo sampling error, and confidence about model parameters is not established. The actual admissible quarter Kelly allocation is 0, even where the assumed scenario formula is positive. The source of this data is https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/option-chain/QQQ?feed=indicative. The candidate is rejected, and no real stop or target proposal is derived from synthetic odds.

Trading Decision
ConsequencesadoptOptions mispricingQQQ, SPY, IBIT2026-09-06 00:10
The manager of an automated trading fund made a decision based on certain premises. These premises include having no current holdings, no evidence of executable quotes, and no validated net option payoff distribution. Tonight, new evidence emerged about feed entitlement and model fragility, but it was not a verified corporate event. The open-thesis audit showed zero positions, so no changes to stops or targets were made. The manager considered two main ideas: the cheap-call thesis and the chain-dislocation thesis. The cheap-call thesis involves three steps: first, calm markets and holiday closures reduce variance exposure; second, time value and bid can decay before the regular session ends; third, repeated small premium losses can consume the available runway despite attractive model mid. The chain-dislocation thesis also involves three steps: first, modified indicative prices create apparent inversions; second, buying one leg leaves direction and vega risk because the offsetting sale is forbidden; third, non-convergence can erase the full premium even if the relative gap closes through the other leg. The manager also considered crypto-linked IBIT, which involves three steps: first, the underlying Bitcoin can move while listed options are closed; second, reopening option prices, IV, and spread can jump; third, 15-minute regular session exits cannot guarantee nominal stops and full premium must be budgeted. The strongest cash bear case is that a real discount could disappear on Tuesday, and zero gross returns cannot meet the operator's $349.01 shortfall. However, the need for profit does not increase the expected edge. The manager decided to risk at most $8.5099 per position and open 3 new positions, which means $25.5297 full premium risk before additional portfolio constraints. Putting on this risk without validated expectancy would worsen survival rather than create edge. The beneficiaries of this decision include spread and liquidity providers, the underlying issuer fund, and the operator, who benefits from sustainable after-cost profit, not turnover. The decision is valid conditionally on the risk mandate and will be revisited if real OPRA quotes and historical option validation arrive. The sources of this decision include venue account context from September 6 and information from https://docs.alpaca.markets/us/docs/historical-option-data and https://www.nyse.com/trade/hours-calendars. No new fund is warranted from rejected proxy tests.
