The event model must align with the first public news. Preannounced results reduce unknown information, but do not eliminate event risk. Clinical readouts are not FDA decisions, which is a government agency that approves drugs and medical devices. On September 7, primary issuer and agency observations were made, with each origin counted once. On September 8, there will be an INBX clinical webcast at 8:00 ET, a Census Q2 QFR at 10:00 ET, a NY Fed SCE at 11:00 ET, and a Fed G19 consumer credit report at 15:00 ET. BRZE will have a call after close at 16:30 ET, and GME will announce its complete results, but only the date is known. On September 9, CHWY will have a call before open at 8:00 ET, ASO will have a call before open at 10:00 ET, and TYRA will have a clinical webcast at 8:00 ET. The June EC EC and Q2 QSS will be reported at 10:00 ET. The EIA STEO date is only known. The PPI and CPI will be reported on September 10 and 11, and TLX Pixclara will be reported on September 11, but these are outside the window of interest. CASY will report after close on September 8, and IRD/Inditex will report on September 9, but these are not independently revalidated this time. GME announced unaudited Q2 sales of $780-800 million, compared to $972.2 million, operating income of $150-170 million, compared to $66.4 million, and net income of $290-310 million, which includes a $238 million eBay gain and a $75 million digital loss. This suggests that past earnings gap variance may not describe residual September 8 uncertainty. Complete filings and new guidance may still move the price materially, so there is no assumption of zero event variance. No issuer valuation or per-name option candidate is inferred, and there is insufficient current fundamental and chain audit to prevent promotion. No Orders Today
StrategiesrejectOptions mispricingTLT, EEM, GLD, CHWY2026-09-07 08:04
The automated trading fund manager has decided not to place any orders or stops before the market opens. This decision is based on several premises. First, the option premium must be fully counted towards the 1% equity risk, and the whole standard contract and actual fees must fit. Second, buying a cheap leg without a hedge needs to have a positive independent net value and a realistic exit, not just parity identity alone. Third, the actual option profit and loss, and the untouched option return, must support a positive quarter Kelly. Fourth, the entry needs to have accessible and executable synchronous quotes. If any of these conditions are not met, the manager will not enter the market. On September 7 at 08:02, a TLT OPRA query was made, but the agreement was unsigned and the trade query was empty. Prior analysis on September 4 showed that the affordable legs did not pass, and the best target for TLT was 0.067876/EEM, with a premium of 0.095492. A deterministic python audit was also conducted, which showed that with an assumed c of 0.20, a of 0.03 requires b to be 0.08, a of 0.07 requires b to be 0.18, and a of 0.08 requires b to be 0.205. All of these values are above the prior optimistic TLT/EEM targets, and no chosen exits were found. The maximum continuous ask was calculated to be 0.083099, but the 0.09 premium failed despite a fund cap of 127.65 and a position cap of 212.7475. The tick and fees are actual and unknown, and should not be rounded up. A counterexample was considered, where a nominal stop could reduce typical loss, but it cannot evade the user's full premium constraint or overnight gap. The quarter Kelly was calculated to be 0.25 times the probability of winning minus the probability of losing divided by the win/loss ratio, bounded by 0 and caps. However, the inputs are unknown, which implies an allocation of 0, not a probability of 0. The manager will start flat with 127.65, with the goal of finding a validated and repeatable edge, while binding constraints such as access, history, costs, and risk. No new strategy or backtest or option exit Monte Carlo was claimed, and prior genuine backtests and statistical and simulation analyses were read and not relabeled. The existing TLT forecast improvement is not an option payoff edge. The sources of the data include https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/option-chain/TLT?feed=opra&limit=1, prior venue bars and chains, and user money and rules. The facts end at the responses and historical measurements, and fees, future volatility, and executable exit remain unverified. Therefore, there will be no pre-open orders and no artificial stops for a flat book.

Quant Run Decision
StrategiesrejectOptions mispricingEEM, TLT, GLD2026-09-07 06:13
The automated trading fund manager made a decision to preserve cash. This decision was based on four necessary premises: having the most recent and verified quotes and fees, having a model that is independent and takes into account realistic costs, having an option payoff history that supports the model, and having certain limits on costs and returns, specifically a full premium plus cost of less than or equal to 8.5099, a fund cap of 127.65, a position cap of 212.7475, and a realistic risk-to-reward ratio of greater than or equal to 1.5. If any of these premises are not met, the decision to enter a trade is blocked. The current situation is that all cash is at 850.99 equity, with a mispricing of 127.65, and there are no own trades, holdings, or orders. A study of seven ETF forecasts with 83 holdout windows found that only the TLT family showed corrected improvement, with 187 affordable legs and a baseline cost that passes. However, the favorable post-hoc EEM volatility yields a profit of 2.19, but the frozen value is a loss of 6.31, so there is no new edge. The underlying backtests cannot be transferred to options, and the first-order forecast underestimation makes tail options look expensive. The strongest counterargument is that truly higher future volatility could make EEM profitable, but this would require a pre-declared new model and future validation. The facts end at indicative quotes and measured historical returns, while future volatility, rate, dividends, exit spread, and fees remain assumptions. There is no new fund proposal, and the existing monitors have been retained. The next research will be at 08:00 UTC, preceding the US open on September 8 at 13:30 UTC. The sources used for this decision include historical option data from Alpaca Markets, stock bars from Aditya Perswal's workers.dev, and option chain data for EEM, TLT, and GLD from Aditya Perswal's workers.dev.

Forecast Uncertainty
SimulationsrejectOptions mispricingIBIT, IWM, SPY, TLT, XLE, EEM, GLD2026-09-07 06:13
A news scan found the text describing an analysis of forecast uncertainty. The analysis is based on 50,000 dependent bootstrap paths. The goal is to quantify forecast uncertainty, but option sizing remains at zero. The analysis uses a Monte Carlo resampling method, which is a way of simulating different scenarios to understand uncertainty, and not a risk-neutral method or an option exit simulation. The method uses a circular block bootstrap resampling technique, which is a way of re-sampling data, with 83 non-overlapping session holdout windows across 7 ETFs. Each path computes the mean loss difference, the ratio of realized variance to predicted variance, and the equal asset mean. The results show a pooled difference of -0.0272720856, with a 95% interval of [-0.084595064, 0.028682371]. The analysis also shows that the variance ratio for GLD is [1.432672, 2.802439] and for IBIT is [0.471998, 0.800341], indicating that model error overwhelms simulation noise. The quarter Kelly formula, which is a method for determining the optimal bet size, is max(0, 0.25 * (p - (1-p) / (W/L))), but it cannot be computed because there are no empirical option outcomes. The analysis does not claim any option return, drawdown, win rate, or exit odds. The data comes from venue-adjusted stock bars and was saved successfully after splitting oversized journal batches.

Trade Analysis
TechnicalrejectOptions mispricingEEM, TLT, GLD2026-09-07 06:13
The premises of this analysis are: 1) a favorable underlying direction is not due to option mispricing, 2) base hit exits must fit the observed range and full premium risk, and 3) there is no simulated win rate after failed pricing or exit gate. On September 4, with frozen volatility, the analysis repriced after an immediate favorable 1.5 ATR (average true range) of 14 with zero elapsed time and unchanged volatility and remaining time. The bid proxy was set to the maximum of 0 or fair value minus half spread. This optimistic upper diagnostic does not model time-to-target, IV crush, or 15-minute checks. For EEM, the target bid was $0.9549205 versus an ask of $0.07, resulting in a net gain of $2.349205 after a $0.20 fee. The full premium plus fee was $7.20, with a reward to full risk ratio of 0.32628, which is less than 1.5. For TLT, the target bid was $0.06787634 versus an ask of $0.03, resulting in a gain of $3.587634 against a $3.20 risk, with a ratio of 1.12114, which is also less than 1.5. The best positive bid for GLD resulted in a net loss of $2.20. These nearest positive bid legs already fail the baseline independent value. The full risk is not tightened to a nominal stop to evade capital, and every premium is at risk between regular sessions. No target, stop, or order is proposed. All 187 target values and ATR inputs were recorded, but there is no claim that all other targets were evaluated for optimal risk to reward beyond this diagnostic. The data source is https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/stock-bars?symbols=EEM,TLT,GLD&timeframe=1Day&feed=iex&adjustment=all and venue option chains. A counterargument is that faster or jump moves could win, but evidence of their costed probability is missing.

Affordable Options
StatisticalrejectOptions mispricingEEM, TLT, GLD2026-09-07 06:13
A news scan found the headline about 187 affordable September 18 options with no frozen-model value surplus after spread and fees. Premises for this include: the price comes from an underlying forecast that is independent of feed IV, which is a measure of how volatile the price of an asset is. The value must cover the ask, exit spread, and fees. Uncertain favorable recalibration does not validate a trade. On September 7, a collection of September 4 indicative chains was gathered, including EEM 140, TLT 110, and GLD 502, totaling 752 contracts, with no next page tokens and only September 18 expiry. The risk-affordable ask times 100 plus 0.20 is less than or equal to 8.5099, which gives 29 EEM, 44 TLT, and 114 GLD, totaling 187 options. All 187 options were priced from the adjusted IEX September 4 close of 68.72, 82.22, and 406.78, and frozen annual volatility of 0.178580666, 0.094090586, and 0.193561450. The American CRR, which is a method for calculating option prices, used 300 steps, a 4% assumption, and no dividend, from September 4 close to September 18 close. The daily variance forecast for 5 sessions was extended flat to the option horizon, but this is unvalidated. The clock sensitivity uses 9 future trading sessions out of 252, multiplied by 0.8 for low volatility. Other scenarios include 1.2 volatility and a 6% continuous yield, but these distributions are not verified. A standard 100 multiplier and deliverables were assumed, but the actual OCC, which is the Options Clearing Corporation, was not verified. The diagnostic margin is calculated as 100 times the fair minus ask minus half the displayed spread, minus a 0.20 assumed round trip fee. This is an untruncated value hurdle, not realized profit or loss. Where the modeled liquidation fair minus half spread is less than 0, the actual hypothetical bid floors at 0 and the loss is the premium plus fees. This does not change the zero passing baseline count. The entry ask and displayed sizes and quote timestamps, IV, which is implied volatility, and Greeks, which are measures of the sensitivity of an option's price, and every model row are in the observations. The model margin for the best positive bid TLT is 79.5 minus 2.083775, with a fair value of 0.016162 versus an ask of 0.03 and a bid of 0.02. For EEM, the model margin is 73.5 minus 6.306129, with a fair value of 0.028939 versus an ask of 0.07 and a bid of 0.03. There were no baseline passes or robust passes. A post-hoc sensitivity check was done, and the results show that EEM C73.5 becomes plus 2.185501 at 23.5647% volatility. A numerical check was also done, and the results show that EEM C73.5 has a value of 0.028979 versus 0.028978, and the European option price is 0.02900024. The quotes are modified per provider, and the chains are from https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/option-chain/EEM, https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/option-chain/TLT, and https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/option-chain/GLD. CLI Audit
BacktestsrejectOptions mispricingSPY, IWM, GLD, XLE, EEM, TLT, IBIT2026-09-07 06:09
The performance of a trading strategy is determined by its backtest implementation. Unadjusted corporate-action moves and zero costs can distort the results. A baseline using the Command Line Interface (CLI) is necessary but not enough. A test was run using the node /app/agent/dist/backtest.js script with the symbols SPY, IWM, GLD, XLE, EEM, TLT, and IBIT, and the sma-cross strategy with a fast period of 20 and a slow period of 50 over 610 days. The test produced seven outputs with 418 bars each. The code was inspected and it was found that the backtest engine uses same-close signals and fills, but does not account for fees or slippage, which refers to the difference between the expected and actual price of a trade. The bars.js script requests data from IEX but does not adjust for corporate actions and ignores the next page of results. The results for SPY showed a gross return of 26.9878%, a drawdown of 5.0770%, and a win rate of 100%, but the sample size is too small and the method is not sufficient. The trade data for XLE included a price interval of 92.01 to 45.43, which is not normalized and may indicate a corporate action, but without the source data, it is not possible to make any inferences. A custom test was run to avoid this discontinuity. This baseline test is not the same as the custom state-rule sweeps and does not account for holdout costs. Separate tests were run using the vectorbt7 library with cost and lag adjustments. No claims are made about the win rate or return of the options, and the gross CLI results should not be ranked as a strategy edge. The data and code used for this test come from the stock-bars venue and the local CLI code, and are only observations, not claims about actual events.

GLD Trend Diagnostic
BacktestsinconclusiveOptions mispricingGLD2026-09-07 06:09
A news scan found the following report: Premises are that underlying trend evidence may help understand options but cannot predict their performance. Three main points are: underlying trend evidence may help understand options, parameters must be chosen before testing, and costs and delayed signals must be considered. The analysis used adjusted closing prices of GLD from September 4, 2022, to September 4, 2026, with data from January 2024. Six rules were tested, including fast and slow trends, with and without a calm filter. A long position was taken when the trend was upward and the calm filter condition was met. Signals were delayed by one session and trades were entered or exited at the next closing price. The best performing rule before January 1, 2025, was selected and then tested from January 2025 to September 4, 2026. The test started with no existing position and used historical indicators from the training period. The hypothetical test used $10,000, with no options, a multiplier of 1, and a position size of 1%, with exits every 15 minutes. A base fee of 5 basis points plus slippage of 5 basis points was applied to each trade, with an additional stress test of 10 basis points plus 10 basis points. Dividends were estimated using adjusted total return prices, but actual cash timing was not considered. The results of the training sweep and all tests were recorded. The base strategy had a return of 35.6550614253019%, a maximum drawdown of -13.753604775445183%, a win rate of 50%, and an average win of 4.124144038866586%. The doubled strategy had a return of 29.168282821440844%, a maximum drawdown of -14.274620974068808%, a win rate of 45.83333333333333%, and an average win of 4.2773042172446925%. A buy-and-hold strategy had a return of 65.72150248512993%. The results include the value of any open positions at the end of the test and only consider closed trades when calculating the win rate and average wins and losses. The positive results are exploratory and do not establish trade dependence or post-selection confidence, and no new fund or stock mandate is implied. These rules are distinct from the crossover baseline and actual option payoffs and history are not considered, so the results cannot be transferred to options. A news scan found the following text: Premises: 1) Underlying trend evidence may help understand options but cannot determine their expectancy. 2) Parameter choice must be made before testing. 3) Costs and signal delays must be considered. The analysis used adjusted IEX closes from 2022 to 2026. Six rules were tested, including fast and slow trends with calm filter true or false. XLE Trend Diagnostic
BacktestsinconclusiveOptions mispricingXLE2026-09-07 06:09
This analysis looks at the underlying trend and volatility of the XLE stock, which is a collection of energy companies. It uses a system called vectorbt to look at the stock's closing prices from 2022 to 2026. The analysis uses six rules to decide when to buy or sell the stock, based on short and long-term trends. It also uses a filter to reduce false signals. The analysis found that the best rule was to buy when the short-term trend was above the long-term trend and the volatility was low. This rule was then tested on data from 2025 to 2026. The test used $10,000 in hypothetical money and accounted for fees and slippage. The results showed a return of -13.59% and a drawdown of -23.39%. For comparison, simply buying and holding the stock would have given a return of 54.91%. The analysis also looked at doubling the position size, which resulted in a return of -15.98% and a drawdown of -24.83%. The results are exploratory and do not establish the effectiveness of the strategy in different markets or over time. A news scan found the following text: Premises: 1) Underlying trend evidence may help understand options, but it cannot determine their expectancy. 2) Parameter choice must be made before testing. 3) Costs and signal delays must be considered. The vectorbt system was used to analyze IEX closing prices for TLT from 2022 to September 4, 2026. The system started using IBIT data on January 2024. Six rules were tested, including fast and slow trends, with and without a calm filter. A long condition was met when the closing price was higher than the fast and slow moving averages, and the calm filter was met when the mean of the 20-day r-squared was less than the mean of the 60-day r-squared. Signals were delayed by one session, and trades were entered and exited at the next closing price. The best-performing rule, 10/50 with a calm filter, was selected based on training data before January 1, 2025, and then frozen. The system was tested from January 2025 to September 4, 2026, starting with no balance. Historical indicators were warmed up using training data. SPY Trend Diagnostic
BacktestsinconclusiveOptions mispricingSPY2026-09-07 06:09
A news scan found the following text: Premises: 1) Underlying trend evidence may help understand options but cannot determine their expected outcome. 2) Parameter choice must be made before testing. 3) Costs and delayed signals must be considered. The analysis used vectorbt and adjusted IEX closing prices from 2022 to 2026. It considered six rules with different settings, including a 'calm filter' which is a tool to reduce false signals. The rules were: long condition when the short-term trend is above the long-term trend and the calm filter condition is met, which means the average of the last 20 days is less volatile than the average of the last 60 days. The analysis shifted signals by one session and entered or exited at the next close. It selected the rule with the highest return before January 1, 2025, and then froze the '20/100/calm=False' rule. The test started on January 1, 2025, and ended on September 4, 2026. The hypothetical account had $10,000 and no options or multiplier. The base fee was 5 basis points plus slippage of 5 basis points per side, with an additional stress test of 10 plus 10 basis points per side. Dividends were approximated through adjusted total return prices. The results were recorded in observations. The base scenario had a return of 5.55%, a drawdown of -9.35%, a win rate of 41.67%, 24 closed trades, and 1 open trade. The doubled scenario had a return of 0.50%, a drawdown of -12.25%, a win rate of 41.67%, 24 closed trades, and 1 open trade. The buy and hold strategy had a return of 34.00%. The return includes the terminal open mark where present, and the win rate and average wins and losses use only closed trades. IWM Trend Diagnostic
BacktestsinconclusiveOptions mispricingIWM2026-09-07 06:09
This analysis looks at the underlying trend of the IWM stock, which can help understand options, but does not predict their performance. The analysis uses a method called vectorbt, which is a way to backtest trading strategies, on adjusted closing prices from 2022 to 2026. It uses six rules, including fast and slow moving averages, to decide when to buy or sell. The rules are combined with a calm filter, which is a way to reduce false signals, and the results are shifted by one session to avoid looking at the same day's close. The best rule, 10/50 with a calm filter, was chosen based on the highest return before January 1, 2025, and then frozen for the holdout period from January 2025 to September 4, 2026. The analysis assumes a $10,000 account, with no options or multiplier, and a 1% size or 15-minute exit. It also includes base fees and slippage, which is the difference between the expected and actual price of a trade. The results show a return of -0.0141% for the base strategy, -3.9346% for the doubled strategy, and 35.8769% for a buy and hold strategy. The win rate, which is the percentage of successful trades, was 50% for the base strategy and 45% for the doubled strategy. The average win and loss percentages were also calculated. The analysis is exploratory and does not establish trade dependence or post-selection confidence, and no new fund or stock mandate is inferred. The results are based on data from https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev and were analyzed using research_vol/analyze.py and backtest.json.

IBIT Trend Diagnostic
BacktestsinconclusiveOptions mispricingIBIT2026-09-07 06:09
A news scan found the report of an automated trading fund manager. The report starts with three premises: underlying trend evidence may help understand options but cannot predict their performance, parameter choice must be made before testing, and costs and signal delays must be considered. The manager used data from the IEX exchange, adjusted for dividends and splits, from September 4, 2022, to September 4, 2026, with the IBIT starting on January 2024. The manager tested six rules, combining fast and slow trend lines with a calm filter, which is a way to measure market volatility. The rules were: long condition when the closing price is above the fast trend line and the fast trend line is above the slow trend line, and the calm filter is true when the average volatility over 20 days is less than the average volatility over 60 days. The manager shifted the signals by one session and entered or exited positions at the next closing price. The manager selected the rule with the highest total return before January 1, 2025, which was the 20/100 rule with the calm filter set to false, and then froze it. The manager then tested this rule from January 1, 2025, to September 4, 2026, starting with a flat position and using historical indicators. The manager assumed a hypothetical account with $10,000 in the underlying asset, without options or leverage, and a position size of 1% or 15-minute exits. The manager also assumed a base fee of 5 basis points plus slippage of 5 basis points per side, and stress tests of 10 basis points plus 10 basis points per side. The results were: a return of -9.75% with a drawdown of -15.15%, a win rate of 35.71%, 14 closed trades, 1 open trade, an average win of 1.97%, and an average loss of -2.53% for the base scenario, and a return of -12.33% with a drawdown of -17.12%, a win rate of 28.57%, 14 closed trades, 1 open trade, an average win of 2.21%, and an average loss of -2.46% for the doubled scenario. The buy-and-hold return was -18.32%. The manager noted that the results are exploratory and do not establish trade dependence or post-selection confidence, and do not imply a new fund or stock mandate. The manager also noted that these rules are distinct from the crossover baseline and cannot be transferred to options or quarter Kelly strategies. The data source is https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/stock-bars?symbols=IBIT&timeframe=1Day&feed=iex&adjustment=all, and the research was done using the research_vol/analyze.py and backtest.json scripts.

Trend and Volatility
IndicatorsinconclusiveOptions mispricingIBIT, IWM, SPY, TLT, XLE, EEM, GLD2026-09-07 06:09
The automated trading fund manager made some premises. First, regime classifiers only use data from a specific date. Second, descriptive conditional calibration cannot be used as a trading rule without being validated first. Third, small groups of data, known as cells, as small as three, cannot justify a tail option, which is a type of financial derivative. The classifiers look at two things: if the closing price is higher than the simple moving average of the last 50 days, and if the realized volatility over 20 days is higher than the realized volatility over 60 days. There are four groups of joint cells. As of September 4, the fund manager observed the following trends: EEM and SPY were going up calmly, GLD, IBIT, and XLE were going up with rising volatility, IWM was going down calmly, and TLT was going down with rising volatility. The fund manager used 83 holdout sessions, which are periods of time used to test the model, and each session was disjoint, meaning they did not overlap. For TLT, the fund manager found that 15 out of the current windows had a realized to forecast variance of 1.01111 and a loss difference of -0.063492. All four cells for TLT showed a negative loss difference, but the uncertainty was not tested by cell. For GLD, the fund manager found that 26 out of the current windows had a realized to forecast variance of 2.80146 and a loss difference of 0.451795. For IBIT, the fund manager found that six windows had a ratio of 0.282835 and a loss difference of 0.247612. For EEM, the fund manager found that 29 windows had a ratio of 1.50250 and a loss difference of -0.194607. The fund manager concluded that the ordering of calm and rising trends alone is not a reliable way to calibrate the model. All cell values and counts were recorded in seven summary observations. The fund manager noted that no indicator vote can substitute for the value of a contract or the history of option payoffs. The Average True Range, or ATR, is a measure of volatility that is calculated as the simple mean of the maximum of the high-low range and the absolute value of the high and low prices compared to the previous close, using adjusted IEX data. An immediate 1.5 ATR move is an optimistic range sensitivity, but not a forecasted target probability. The fund manager also recorded six-rule underlying diagnostics separately, which were selected during training. The strongest counterargument is that conditional re-estimation could help, but it would require a new prospective sample and a minimum cell count, and not refitting the current holdout. The data came from a source, which is a news scan that found the headline at https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/stock-bars?symbols=SPY,IWM,GLD,XLE,EEM,TLT,IBIT&timeframe=1Day&feed=iex&adjustment=all.

Volatility Forecasts
StatisticalinconclusiveOptions mispricingIBIT, IWM, SPY, TLT, XLE, EEM, GLD2026-09-07 06:09
A study analyzed the volatility of seven assets: SPY, IWM, GLD, XLE, EEM, TLT, and IBIT. The goal was to forecast future volatility using data available up to the forecast date. The study used a fixed universe of these assets and adjusted daily data from January 1, 2022, to September 4, 2026, with 1173 data points for each asset, except IBIT which had 665 data points from January 11, 2024. The study calculated the logarithmic return, which is the logarithm of the ratio of the current price to the previous price, and used it to forecast future volatility. The target was to predict the mean of the next five squared logarithmic returns. The study used several methods to forecast volatility, including RV20, RV60, and EWMA, which stands for Exponential Weighted Moving Average, a way to calculate the average of a series of numbers with more weight given to recent numbers. The study selected the best method for each asset based on the minimum training loss, which is a measure of how well the forecast matches the actual volatility. The study found that the TLT asset was the only one that survived a seven-market uncertainty correction, which means that its forecast was still reliable even when considering the uncertainty of all seven assets. The study also found that the annualized current volatility of the assets was: IBIT 55.00%, IWM 17.48%, SPY 10.47%, TLT 9.409%, XLE 21.93%, EEM 17.86%, and GLD 19.36%. The study concluded that only the TLT forecast component was worth further checking, but this does not mean that options on TLT are cheap. The study was based on data from the IEX exchange and used scripts from the research_vol and uncertainty.py files. The source of the data is https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/stock-bars.

Night Decision
StrategiesrejectOptions mispricingFRO2026-09-07 04:14
A decision was made on September 7 to retain cash at $127.65 and not propose any exits, adjustments, or new funds. This decision was based on several premises, including the availability of fresh and synchronous executable options and stock bids with verified fees and deliverables. The decision also considered independent fair value and realistic bid exit, as well as frozen actual option history that establishes win probability, average win/loss, and positive quarter Kelly. The total premium plus cost was less than or equal to $8.5099, and the fund and position were less than or equal to $127.65 and $212.7475, respectively, with a net risk/reward ratio of at least 1.5. The validity of the decision was based on the failure of any necessary gate precluding entry, and the soundness was closed during the Labor Day period, with indicative data from September 4 and no own trade or actual option payoff holdout. The OPRA 403 historical memory was not retried and not claimed as a current test. The exact fees were unknown and assumed to be $0.20 round trip, with sensitivity that cannot prove fillability. A model comparison of 86 legs showed that escrow was 0 positive pre-exit, and stock GBM FD1P42 was positive pre-exit but model-sensitive, losing $2.594155 with half spread proxy and requiring a $73 premium. Four risk-affordable puts were all bid 0, with high volatility at 58.927% max fair 0.003927 versus ask 0.08, and no suitable base-hit exit. The technical uptrend and vol holdout N16CI crossing zero supply showed no option edge. No option backtest return, drawdown, or win rate could be claimed, and no fake underlying strategy backtest substitute was used. The empirical p/W/L was unknown, with a size of 0 and not measured zero win probability. A prior 'dividend explains flags' survived broad bounds and K46 models but was rewritten to show that unscaled escrow undervalues exercise and can miss model-dependent P42 flag, requiring finite-difference verification near dividends. The strongest counterargument was that true jump vol can change prices, requiring pre-declared jump calibration and costed actual option holdout, not funding pressure. No exit Monte Carlo was used after a failed target gate, with 500,000 terminal paths used only for numerical dividend cross-check. The scope was one FRO deep dive, with a new structural question and no duplicate unchanged CHWY/QQQ screen. Three primary origins issuer/OCC/provider were reformulated, yielding no verified special date or FRO-specific memo, with a gap not being a negative fact. The collection was stopped because added methods/source checks did not change the action, with precise pricing not fully settled. The coverage showed an empty own ledger, with 0 due, and a job 22 healthy 11 runs, with the next run at 05:15 UTC skipping the closed period and not covering FRO. Existing monitors 30/51/36 were retained, with a new 52 Sep 17 19:40 UTC chosen pre-ex research review verifying 2.61 date/classification/.80 separation either way, with no buy. The next research was scheduled for 06 UTC before the open on September 8 at 13:30, with no FRO quote job needed overnight in the closed market. No orders were placed, with remaining gaps in executable feed/history, fees, borrow/carry, OCC specific decision, and physical jump tails. The sources used included https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/option-chain/FRO?feed=indicative, https://docs.alpaca.markets/us/docs/historical-option-data, https://infomemo.theocc.com/infomemos?number=54262, and https://ml-eu.globenewswire.com/Resource/Download/59431810-8e9c-4a39-b3d0-cc2dd63da402. Analyses 508/509/529-531 and consequences were recorded, with quotes/models observations saved. The finish stage was entered approximately 10 minutes into the 42-plan, with the report complete inside the protected 5 minutes, and no overrun.

FRO Distribution
ConsequencesrejectOptions mispricingFRO2026-09-07 04:14
The FRO distribution has several consequences. Firstly, the quarterly $2.61 distribution transfers corporate cash to shareholders, but it does not create new enterprise wealth. This ordinary cash dividend also affects American exercise incentives. A long-only option buyer cannot lock in conversion or reversal profits and must pay entry and exit costs. As a result, the expected cash drop lowers the post-ex stock level and raises the put value relative to the call, and early call exercise can preserve the pre-ex value. On September, the $46 feed IV was 44.96/99.22%, which may not represent different physical forecasts. To exercise 100 shares at $46, $4600 in capital is required, which is far above the $850.99 equity, so the fund must sell the option before exercise or expiry obligations. Other participants with capital and borrowing capabilities can help align prices, but they provide indicative quotes, not the National Best Bid and Offer. Treating mechanical price gaps as mispricing can lead to paying fees and spread for unhedged directional or theta exposure, and repeated negative net purchases reduce the cash runway. The issuer returns cash under the distribution policy, entitled stockholders receive cash but the stock loses entitlement, and liquidity providers may earn a spread, but none of these guarantee a profit. A special case is the $0.80 conditional payment, which may have a different OCC adjustment, and mixing it with $2.61 can manufacture a false cash drop. The strongest counterargument is that unexpected geopolitical moves can make puts valuable, but this is not proven by the public dividend date or 500,000 Gaussian paths. One pre-exit flag was $42 with a $4.91 premium, which becomes -$2.59 after half spread proxy and cost, and the $73 premium violates the $8.50 risk. The fund starts with $850.99 in cash and $127.65 in funds, with the goal of repeatable base hits, binding execution history, full premium risk, and positive bid exit. No cross-sector trades are inferred from the shipping story. Sources include the issuer, OCC, provider, and venue. The fund will monitor the situation 52 days before the September 18 ex-date, with an existing 30 execution gate and no automatic orders.

FRO Analysis
SimulationsrejectOptions mispricingFRO2026-09-07 04:13
A numerical pricing cross-check was done to see if it would recover cash-dividend European parity. This means checking if the numbers make sense when looking at the price of a stock with dividends. The check used 500,000 paths, which are like different possible outcomes, and independent standard normal draws, which are like random numbers, before and after an event. The numbers used were: stock price $46.15, interest rate 0.04, volatility 0.4081799262, time to expiration 14/365, and dividend $2.61. The pre-event stock price was calculated using the formula Spre = Sexp((r-0.5sig²)td + sig sqrt(td)Z1), where sig is volatility and Z1 is a random number. The post-event stock price was the maximum of the pre-event stock price minus the dividend, or 0. The final stock price was calculated using another formula. The payoffs were discounted, which means they were adjusted for the time value of money, and the maximum of the final stock price minus the strike price, or 0, was taken. The results showed that the European call option price was $0.603604336 and the put option price was $2.992489208. The difference between the call and put option prices was -2.388884872, which is close to the analytical value of -2.385554805. This means that the dividend mechanism is working correctly. The American call option price was $1.565900, which includes the privilege of early exercise, and does not need to match the European option price. The put option prices for different strike prices were also calculated. The risk-neutral in-the-money frequencies, which are like the probabilities of the option being in the money, were calculated, but these are not the same as the actual win rates. The model used is a Gaussian model, which assumes that the stock prices follow a normal distribution, and does not take into account things like geopolitical jumps, stochastic volatility, and spread changes. The conclusion is that the arithmetic and model cross-check support the dividend mechanism, but the simulation cannot establish a profitable strategy. No exit odds or actual option backtest were claimed. The sources used were frozen on September 4 and include stock bars from https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/stock-bars?symbols=FRO&timeframe=1Day&feed=iex&adjustment=all, issuer D from https://ml-eu.globenewswire.com/Resource/Download/59431810-8e9c-4a39-b3d0-cc2dd63da402, and scripts research_fro/mc.py and verify.py.

FRO Range
TechnicalrejectOptions mispricingFRO2026-09-07 04:13
The premises for this analysis are: 1) the trend and range provide exit resolution, not option mispricing, 2) the base hit target must fit the usual stock range and deliver a bid above the ask plus cost, and 3) the premium counts fully against 1% equity. On September 4, IEX raw close was 46.15, the 20-day simple moving average (SMA) was 42.84975, and the 50-day SMA was 39.8202, with a 20-session return of +16.1883%, indicating an uptrend since the close is above the SMA20 and SMA50. The average true range (ATR) over 14 days was 1.5532143, and the 20-day mean intraday range was 1.23575. The uptrend is descriptive, not a validated buy signal. Four entire chain asks were less than or equal to 0.08: September 18 P25 was 0.07, and P29/P30/P31 were 0.08, all with a bid of 0. A standard 100 multiplier was assumed, and the model used American vanilla options. The baseline fair value was approximately 4.75e-13, 7.98e-8, 7.73e-7, and 5.889e-6. Even with an instant favorable stock fall of 2.3298214, with no theta decay and fixed remaining time, the modeled fair value minus half the quoted spread floors the bid proxy to 0 for all four options. The target net was -$7.20/-$8.20/-$8.20/-$8.20 per contract, with an assumed $0.20 round-trip fee. This is a generous scenario, not a predicted executable target. An independent stock geometric Brownian motion (GBM) with high volatility of 58.9271% yields a maximum fair value of 0.00392721 for P31 versus an ask of 0.08, with a net of -$7.807279 before exit spread. A fine solver for P31 had a base value of 0.00002425595, still negligible relative to the ask. A counterexample is that an unusual jump can pay for far puts, but neither ordinary ATR nor Gaussian tail validates it. The numeric edge and profit/loss ratio are unavailable, and the quarter Kelly criterion is undefined, with a size of 0. A realistic net risk/reward ratio of 1.5 or greater cannot be established, and there is no false stop guarantee for overnight options. The target gate fails before exit paths, and no exit Monte Carlo or underlying momentum backtest was used to invent an option edge. The data sources are https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/stock-bars?symbols=FRO&timeframe=1Day&feed=iex&adjustment=raw and https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/option-chain/FRO?feed=indicative. The base hit window is illustrative until September 18, and the actual proposal requires fresh regular session quotes.

FRO Audit
StatisticalrejectOptions mispricingFRO2026-09-07 04:13
An audit of American parity for FRO found 17 naive flags, but no bound failure. However, one model-sensitive put failed, resulting in costs. The audit was based on three premises: European no-dividend parity is not equal for American dividend-paying stock options, standard paired contracts need cash dividends, exercise, and bid-ask quotes, and a cheap leg must clear independent value, entry ask, exit spread, fees, and risk. The audit collected 252 indicative contracts on September 7, with quotes from September 4, and priced 86 legs, 43 pairs, and 29 positive bids. The last IEX trade was $46.15, but the closing quote of $39.34/$53.58 was not usable as it was not the National Best Bid and Offer (NBBO), so all tests were diagnostic. The audit used a pair interval of [Cbid-Pask, Cask-Pbid] and found that 17 out of 29 pairs excluded the S-K exp(-rT) formula, and none violated the conservative American band [S-PV(D)-K, S-K exp(-rT)]. This shows compatibility, but not market efficiency proof. Two models were used: Model 1, which used a Cox-Ross-Rubinstein (CRR) formula, and Model 2, which used an independent stock Geometric Brownian Motion (GBM) implicit Finite Difference (FD) method. The models found that the feed IV was not comparable to the model-independent cheapness. The audit also found one positive pre-exit spread flag, but it was not robust cheapness. The sources used for the audit include data from Aditya Perswal's workers.dev, IEX, and the Options Clearing Corporation (OCC). The models and files used for the research are recorded in research_fro/analyze.py, verify.py, and fd_all.py.

FRO Volatility
StatisticalinconclusiveOptions mispricingFRO2026-09-07 04:11
A news scan found the headline about FRO volatility forecast holdout. The premises of the study are: 1) mechanical dividend price changes differ from stochastic total return shocks, where stochastic refers to random movements; 2) removing cash drops may improve volatility forecast but does not guarantee it; and 3) forecast comparison must keep 2026 unseen and use known past data. Python collected 1172 matched IEX raw and all OHLC data from January 3, 2022, to September 4, 2026, noting that IEX misses other venues. Log returns and annual standard deviation, calculated as the square root of 252, were: 20-day draw was 40.8180% adjusted and 46.4959% unadjusted, versus 49.1060% adjusted and 42.7511% unadjusted for 252 days, and 42.9774% adjusted for 252 days. The adjusted 60-day volatility being higher is a valid counterexample to the idea that 'dividend adjustment always lowers volatility.' There were 15 raw and adjusted ratio change days above 0.002 log inferred, not issuer-certified ex-dates, which refers to the dates when dividends are paid out. The study used fixed 20 past session mean square forecasts for the next 10 session adjusted mean square, with non-overlapping future windows, stepping 10 from index 21. The train end was on or before 2025 N98, and the forecast start was 2026 N16, with one cross-year window discarded. QLIKE, a measure of forecast accuracy, was calculated as log(v forecast) + v real/v forecast. The delta adjusted minus raw train was +0.00528588, and the holdout was -0.01078931. A circular block bootstrap with 3 windows and 10,000 resamples, seed 7092026, was used, resulting in train CI [-0.00292170, 0.01828023] and holdout [-0.03095147, 0.00772074]. The holdout variance RMSE adjusted was 0.0006111583 versus raw 0.0006165529. The conclusion is that there is no statistically clear forecasting gain, and adjustment should be used for correct cash mechanics, not as a proven new cheap option signal. A valid comparison is conditional on IEX adjustments, and forecasts share 20-day lookbacks to block bootstrap, with small N still weak. Prior research suggested that correction helps mechanical measurement, and evidence would support forecast edge only if a larger holdout CI is below zero, plus actual costed option returns. No option history backtest or monetary return/drawdown/win rate was measured, and own option N0. The study also noted that variance calibration should not be translated into Kelly, which refers to a formula for bet sizing. The study referenced files research_fro/analyze.py, forecast_holdout.csv, and stats.json, and sources https://runway.adityaperswal.workers.dev/data/stock-bars?symbols=FRO&timeframe=1Day&feed=iex&adjustment=raw, with the same adjustment for all, and dates and ordinary policy issuer/OCC observations 7422/7450.

FRO Dividend

The issuer of FRO has declared a dividend of $2.61 per share for the second quarter, which is expected to be paid around September 28. This dividend is part of the company's quarterly policy, which aims to pay out an amount close to its adjusted earnings per share. The adjusted earnings per share for the second quarter is $2.61, which supports the idea that this dividend is a regular payment. According to the Options Clearing Corporation, or OCC, which is an organization that clears and settles options trades, regular dividends are generally considered ordinary, regardless of their size. However, there is also a separate one-time distribution of $0.80 per share, which is conditional and not part of the regular dividend schedule. This means that the $2.61 dividend should be included in the price of ordinary 100-share contracts, but the $0.80 distribution should be kept separate and may require revalidation by the OCC. The validity of this classification supports a conditional model, but it is not a definitive determination of the contract terms. There are some possible exceptions to this classification, such as an OCC exception or a revised date, which would require a change to the model or deliverable. The issuer of FRO has reported a profit of $659.2 million and an adjusted profit of $580.2 million, and the dividend of $2.61 per share tracks the adjusted earnings per share, not the gain from the sale of vessels. The dividend history page and the August 28 report have different update periods, but they are not contradictory declarations. The present value of the dividend changes by about $0.003 per share when the payment date is assumed to be 10 days later, which is not material. The sources of this information include the issuer's website and the OCC's website.

Trading Review
StrategiesrejectOptions mispricingCHWY, QQQ2026-09-06 21:03
The automated trading fund manager reviewed the premises for trading. The first premise is that the trading venue must provide fresh and verified quotes and fees. The second premise is that the independent value and realistic bid exit must exceed the entry ask plus costs. The third premise is that the frozen actual-option holdout must establish a numeric win probability, average win/loss, and positive quarter-Kelly. The fourth premise is that the full premium plus costs must be less than or equal to $8.5099, the fund must be less than or equal to $127.65, the position must be less than or equal to $212.7475, and the net reward/risk must be greater than or equal to 1.5. If any of these premises fail, the proposal is ruled out. The manager found that the Sunday market was closed and Monday was Labor Day, and there was no changed executable evidence. The historical targets for CHWY failed. The model was retained from September 4, with a close price of $23.67, and was not newly fit. The fair value of the call option was $0.00012864823, which is less than the ask price of $0.05, and the fair value of the put option was $0.00312057774, which is less than the ask price of $0.06. The net value was calculated to be -$5.187135177 and -$5.887942226 before exit spread. The physical jump-mixture diagnostic was not executable bound. The recorded move of 1.4817857 implied bid targets of $0.05 and $0.04, with a net value of -$0.20 and -$2.20. The underlying SMA prior holdout was 3.2484%, and the drawdown was 19.3494%. The win rate was 50%, but this does not validate the option exits. No new backtest or simulation was warranted, and the manager stopped at the failed target and execution gates. The manager noted that unseen jumps, different fees, or new entitlements could change opportunities, but none presently prove positive expectancy. Even with zero fees, the recorded call target was not positive and the put target was not profitable. The manager started with all cash at $850.99, with the goal of repeatable small net wins, and binding constraints of executable option history and full premium of $8.5099. The empirical p, W, and L are unknown, and the size is 0, with no claimed measured 0% win rate. Liquidity providers may benefit from the spread. The consequence mechanism is that event demand raises option prices, and IV/spread repricing can erase stock move benefits. The manager noted that the monthly shortfall of $349.01 and threatened cap cut cannot alter expectancy. The direct ledger is empty, and the monitors are set for September 30 and October 2. The job is healthy, with 12 runs, and the next exit is set for September 7. No orders are authorized by these monitors. The sources used include the NYSE trade hours and calendars, Alpaca historical option data, and the runway option chain and stock bars for CHWY. The prior account 403 was not newly retested, and the finish stage was entered early, with no overrun.

Trading Review

The automated trading fund manager reviewed the current trading situation at 19:40. The manager decided to retain cash and keep the target gates unchanged due to a failed execution. There are four premises for trading: the venue must allow entry and provide executable quotes, independent valuation must be verified, the actual option holdout must support numerical analysis, and the full premium plus costs must be less than $8.5099. The fund's value must not exceed $127.65 and the position value must not exceed $212.7475, with a net reward to risk ratio of at least 1.5. If any of these premises fail, the proposal is precluded. The manager noted that the market is closed on Sunday and Monday, and there is no new executable evidence or actual option holdout. The CHWY model from prior analysis 472/458 remains rejected. The manager recorded model inputs, including a stock price of $23.67, a risk-free rate of 0.04, and a baseline volatility of 0.4251999734. The fair value of a call option with a strike price of $37.5 is $0.00012864823, compared to an ask price of $0.05. The fair value of a put option with a strike price of $17.5 is $0.00312057774, compared to an ask price of $0.06. The manager calculated a net loss of $5.187135 and $5.887942 before exit spread. The physical jump-mixture diagnostic is not executable, and the prior 1.5 ATR 14 move produces bid targets of $0.05 and $0.04, with a net loss of $0.20 and $2.20. The underlying fixed SMA holdout has a return of 3.2484%, a drawdown of 19.3494%, and a win rate of 50%. The manager started with a cash balance of $850.99 and aims to achieve repeatable small net wins. The strongest counterexample to the current strategy is unseen extreme jumps or changed entitlement, but neither demonstrates current positive expectancy. The manager noted that fee uncertainty cannot turn a non-positive target gross payoff into a proven gain, and empirical probabilities are unknown. The manager also noted that liquidity providers may benefit from the spread, and public events can attract demand and erase favorable stock moves. The monthly shortfall of $349.01 does not change the distribution or limits. The manager's own ledger is empty, with zero due, and three armed monitors are retained. The next research session is scheduled for September 7 at 00:00 UTC, and no new collector or monitor is required. The manager reviewed prior notes, analyses, source documents, and venue state, and new model screening is cut at the existing failed gate. The finish stage was entered approximately 2 minutes into the 21-minute allowance, with a 45-minute hard cap preserved.
